Ballband Cloth

My first ballband cloth using Peaches 'n Cream Fiesta Ombre and Sugar 'n Cream Hot Green. Pretty festive looking, huh?(colors are more brilliant in real life)

I got some new inox circulars on ebay this week. I got 16" for those little jobs. Toddler socks are easier on shorter needles.

2 weeks notice!

I gave my 2 weeks notice at work! I have been there a year and enough is enough.
Now I may get some knitting done!!!! And I will have time for my daughter and granddaughters. My hubby will just have to work harder! (glad I have some yarn stashed to keep me going)

I have applied to join this knitalong.
I put the book on hold at our library but have to wait awhile. In the meantime I have the ballband dishcloth pattern that I am enjoying knitting.

What kind of flower?

I am a
Snapdragon

What Flower
Are You?

I usually don't like these quizzes, but I like flowers. :-)

It's been a busy weekend with 2 different conferences I went to. One was on the Father's love (our sonship in Christ) and yesterday was a Spiritual warfare conference! That was totally powerful!

I am giving my 2 week notice at work. I have been there a year and conditions have not changed. Going to take some time off and get caught up on some things and look for that ideal job!!! hahaha Plus I want to spend more time with my grandbabies!

Goody box came today!

I got my order from Herrschner's today!
Handicrafter cotton yarn was only $.77 a skein and I had a free shipping coupon!
I got a couple of gadgets too. One is a Cro-knit (for even tension) and the other is a yarn guide for knitting with more than on color.

I donated 9 dishcloths to our children's group at church for an upcoming bake and craft sale to get a new overhead projector. I will knit more also as I have a couple of weeks. And now I have more cotton! The teachers were thrilled to get them. Posted by Picasa

Mid August KAL

Here is my completed mid August knitalong cloth. The blues in varigated yarn matched too closely to main color so some effect gets lost but it was still a fun pattern to knit. I bet it will scrub dishes nicely with all the texture going on!

I spent a lovely day with my friend Tricia today. She treated me to lunch at a great Mexican restaurant and then on to Baskin-Robbins for coconut/nut ice cream! YUM
She lent me a couple of good books to read and we just had a very pleasant day of talking and laughing. Posted by Picasa

Rippit

I have frogged so many things lately I may start turning green! Nothing is turning out correct, guage is wrong, size is wrong, yarn is wrong.... I'll stick to dishcloths until this funk passes on.

We have blacktop!!!! Tomorrow the driveway may get done... it has been 3 months since the started ripping up the roads. UGH.

Stared organizing my yarns. I got a bunch of plastic zippered quilt bags. I am sorting by cotton, sock yarn, wool and odd balls. I have all my printed off patterns in note books. Yeah!

Hobby Lobby has all knitting and crocheting implements half off this week so I stocked up on notions...extra cable needles, stitch holders and other goodies. Fun!

Start of Mystery sock.

It is going to be a smaller sock than I wear so I may have to add stitches or maybe I can find a special person to receive them as a gift!

Day 2 of midmonth dishcloth knitalong.

I like the pattern

Mystery Sock knitalong.

I joined a new knitalong...Mystery Sock. You knit a pair of socks from a pattern that you have not seen a picture of completed sock. I love knitting socks so this is a challenge.

I started day one of mid month dishcloth knitalong.
day 1

They are finally going to start paving our street! It has been ripped up since the middle of May. We have new storm sewers and curb and gutter to go along with new road. It has been a very dusty summer.

Apple cloth

I am playing catch up with the monthly discloth group. This is last September's apple. It is a little hard to make out the apple with the angle I took the picture... Posted by Picasa

Another Dishcloth

This dishcloth is the mind July pattern...lacy mock cables. It was surprisingly simple! I just finished a state of Texas one tonight. It is not showing up very well as it is done in an eggshell color. I have to find a proper background for it. What fun to make fancy dishcloths!

First dishcloth done!

My first monthly dishcloth is done!
The instructions are given out 10 rows each day. Mystery pattern.
Can you see the lighthouse? It was knit from the top down so wasn't sure if it was a spider or what at first.

I finally got a nice picture taken of my daughter and her family while they were her this weekend.

New Knit-Along

I joined a new knitalong! It is the first one in over a year. It is the monthly DishCloth KAL

It is a mystery pattern, new stitches given everyday. It is fun not to just knit boring dishcloths!
There is a link in my sidebar.

Grandbabies are here for the weekend. Isabelle (9 weeks is napping) and Ella (2- 1/2)is being entertained by Papa so I have a few minutes with the computer. I have to get some new pictures taken of them.
