Baby Ugg Booties

I knit these booties for my grandbaby, Ella. I used some soft merino tan and some white plush for trim.

My daughter sure was surprised as she has some real Uggs.

Found the yarn I needed!!!!

YES!!!!! Herrschner's in Steven's Point had plenty of my Encore color 389 so I can finish dear hubby's socks.

I also knit some adorable Baby Ugg Booties for my darling Ella. She is coming today for Thanksgiving and will take pictures with her wearing them and post later.

Turkey is thawed, celery is cut, bread crumbs bought..... now to spend the day cooking tomorrow for about 20 minutes of fine eating.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! May the Lord bless you and yours.

Ran out of yarn!!!!!

Arrgghhh. I have 1 & 1/4 socks knit and ran out of yarn and my LYS where I got it is also out. Now I have to drive an hour to see if another yarn shop has it.

I got the most beautiful yarn last night to knit my Irish Hiking scarf. It is Cascade Pastaza, color 67. A beautiful green/blue. Llama & wool... I am knitting with size 15 needles to get a light airy scarf. It will be beautiful. I am in need of a new winter coat so will have to take yarn scrap with me to match coat to scarf!

I've been RAOK'd

Look at the very cool NeedleWerks button with the cockatiel on it to your right. It was a RAOK gift from Lynn at Mindful Moderation. Isn't it adorable?
(RAOK = Random Act of Kindness)

I had my Irish Walking scarf halfway done and ran out of yarn. I started knitting with the next skein and it was not the same lot. I had to "frog" the whole scarf.
:-(
Now to find a different yarn that is suitable.

Christian Knitters ring is born!

I started a pair fo socks for dear hubby using Encore but started 1 at a time....ugh. I like doing 2 at time. I have one done and the 2nd one started.

I started a scarf witht the Irish Hiking Scarf Knitalong. It has 3 cables and will be a very beautiful scarf.

Not much else new. Wish I knew how to make cool buttons like everyone has on their blogs. I would like to start my own webring for Christian Knitters.

New Pet!

I got a new pet! My dear friend, Carol, gave me a cockatiel. We kinda determined that it is a female of the Pearl variety so I named her Purl! She is still getting used to me. She keeps me company as I have someone to talk at... LOL

More socks

I knit a Christmas Stocking using some glitzy looking acrylic yarn. Turned out kinda pretty.'

I finished my hubby's Magical Stripe socks, almost done with son-in-laws wool socks, and started on a pair of wool socks for my hubby.

I knit a basic black hat for my son and now have to machine embroider a spider on it for him.

I bought some more Noro Kureyon to knit mittens to match my hat and scarf.

2 socks on 2 circulars

I started my first attempt at 2 socks on 2 circulars. It is easier than I thought!

I have to have a pair of camoflouge socks for my son in laws birthday in a couple of weeks so thought this would go faster.

Dear Grandbaby and her mommy were here for 3 days!!! I had so much fun with her. She will be 8 months in a few days and has learned so much. Of course I think she is the smartest baby around!

Crazy Toes & Heels

I am knitting my first patterned sock ( Cascading Leaves Sock-along) and using Dale yarn machine washable wool. It is such a pretty pattern.

New look

I changed the template of my blog as the other one was just too hard to adjust things in the sidebar. Hope you like the new look.

I finished knitting one sock for my husband, made a pair for my grandbaby, and bought some yarn for my cascading leaves pattern socks.

I had fun at Herrschner's Warehouse Sale yesterday!

Yarn for $.49 and up. Most of the luxury wools I bought were only $1.99 a ball. Gotta love that!
