They were actually finished a few days ago but I just have been busy posting over at Ravelry.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-9042789730926872472014-07-30T07:15:00.000-05:002014-07-30T07:15:01.268-05:00UpdateI am still knitting. I just get too busy knitting samples and testing designs that I forget to blog. I belong to the Testing Pool on a Ravelry and accept test patterns based on yarn I have on hand and need for the pattern being tested.

I also have changed my life by becoming a Sales Consultant with Norwex. I always disliked cleaning because of the smells and dangers associated with cleaners. I now clean with water and occasionally norwex enzyme based cleaners for those tough jobs. Cleaning is easier and healthier!
I have been so busy knitting that this really was neglected.
I have been test knitting for many designers through Ravelry and sample knitting for Interlacements Yarns.
I have done some knitting for yarn money also.

This Feather and Fan was my most recent scarf. It was knit with Interlacements RickRack in Oceans colorway. It had lovely drape, texture and softness.
I am going to make myself one!

I also have been busy with a new company I joined. doTERRA Essential Oils.
I so love the oils and have lost 21# using the Slim & Sassy weight loss plan they sell. :)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-40949855970939917912012-07-31T09:00:00.000-05:002012-07-31T09:00:23.579-05:00WOW! I don't have any test knits going on at the moment so I can actually knit for myself. :) I bought the Sivia Harding pattern, Jo's Pride and am swatching the yarns I have on hand. None seem to be working. I may have to go up a needle size. The fun with swatching is all the extra knitting I get to do. ;)
I knit 3 hats for the Halos of Hope charity. Interlacements yarn provided the Sweet Feet yarn. 2 of the hats were actually done while testing patterns for Kelly Menzies. So I accomplished 2 tasks with the same projects. Nice.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-33615082441288690032012-07-03T08:18:00.000-05:002012-07-03T08:18:00.483-05:00I almost forgot about this blog, I spend so much time on Facebook and Ravelry.
I have been spending all of my knitting time knitting for designers and Interlacements Yarns. I like expanding my knitting skills by blindly following patterns. It is quite fun to learn new techniques.
I also got to knit a secret project for an upcoming book. I will post when it is published and where you can procure the book!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-37165731864522855082011-11-09T17:45:00.000-06:002011-11-09T17:45:32.454-06:00Test KnittingI am test knitting again! I did some free testing for a couple of designers on Ravelry and now have found my dream designer! She sends me fantastic yarn and the pattern to test. I send one sock back for pictures, then it comes back to me. The yarn and the items I knit are mine to keep or to sell. She has given me permission to sell the items! I am knitting with some wonderful yarn right now. Skinny Bugga.... merino, cashmere and nylon. mmmmm so wonderful.
I feel so blessed.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-50912457648706136022011-11-06T17:17:00.000-06:002011-11-06T17:17:06.861-06:00I won!WOW! I am so thankful to Jesus Christ for healing me! I have been knitting almost everyday without pain and am tickled pink! Joy Joy Joy!!!

I picked up an entrelac shawl I started in 2009 and have made much progress on it. I am on my last ball of Lighthouse Waves yarn from Herrschners and need to get some more. I am debating about driving over there and spending gas money or paying shipping. :)

Anyway I am a once again happy knitter and checking out ravelry.com again. ;)Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-48780008577500512072011-02-19T17:29:00.000-06:002011-02-19T17:29:19.562-06:00Spinning but not KnittingProgress! I can spin now without pain. I haven't tried knitting for a few months. Something in the way I hold my needles irritates my wrist. I am happy that I can spin though. I can get a good stash built up for when my wrist co-operates!
Life is busy these days as I temporarily moved in with my daughter and son-in-law to babysit my grand daughters. I have not stopped knitting but find rare moments to knit uninterrupted. I bought Barbie Knits and will be doing small scale items to keep the Barbies here dressed! I am currently knitting Mr. Foster from KnitPicks.com and joined the knitalong. I am also doing the Different Ways to Entrelac knitalong by Gwen Bortner. and of course there are socks on the needles... doing 2 at a time to make them the same.... not as easy task when you might have to drop your knitting to rescue something from a 3 year old!

Someone actually offered to buy my domain name! First we stopped at Nancy's Notions in Beaver Dam where Debra needed to pick up some more fabric for a quilt she is making. ( the lady measured wrong on the first cut!) Then we headed down to Columbus WI to Susan's Fiber Shop. I scored some nice superwash roving for spinning washable yarn. She has a lot of supplies for knitters, spinners, weavers, beaders, etc. a wall full of books for all kinds of crafting, too. It is out in the middle of nowhere but worth the trip.... even if it is just to watch and listen to Susan tell stories! We usually end up traveling in snowstorms, rain storms or tornadoes, but we had a beautiful day!

I finished my red Socks of Kindness. They need to be washed and blocked as I am giving them to a friend. ChiroPatti has one of my sock blockers and I hope she remembers to bring it Monday night to YKNOTKNIT meeting.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-22616398895270820182008-05-16T15:15:00.002-05:002008-05-16T15:18:40.603-05:00LoomMy loom is home after being away for 20 years! I sold it 20 years ago when we thought we were going into the mission field. My friend bought it and never used it all those years and she offered it back to me a God inspired price I couldn't refuse. I will post pictures soon.... as it needs a little work.

I also have joined some new business ventures and have been trying to get those up and running.. more to come on that...

I just had to touch base here...Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8468635.post-17204777602122506602008-04-24T15:39:00.002-05:002008-04-24T15:45:02.128-05:00I met Lucy NeatbyWeeee! I went to normal Thursday noon knitting and walked in and saw this lady with rainbow hair and thought to myself... I know her, I think. Here it was Lucy Neatby!!!!

I introduced myself and shook her hand. She was very kind and not at all stand-offish. She asked me if I had a copy of her dvd index and told her no. She then lfet for lunch. She is in Neenah WI for Midwest Masters, that starts tomorrow. After lunch she came back and handed me an index to her DVD's. I asked her if she would autograph it. And of course, she did.... "To Debbie, May your stitches always smile! Lucy" and drew her cute little smiling stitch. THEN>>> she sat down and knit with me!!!!! We talked about Ravelry and her dvd's and new ones coming out. She is so friendly and I love her accent.
So that was the thrill of the year!!!!

Oh and I bought some Dream in Color Smooshy for 30% off! Score!!!!!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17638623428794288831noreply@blogger.com2
