Road Construction

They have been ripping up our road what seems like forever! They are putting in storm sewers and curb and gutter. Well the storm sewers are in but road is full of pot holes as it is all ground up. They started ripping the ends of driveways off..they stopped right across the street so ours is still intact... and the noise....ugh.
So our house hunt continues... I just hope they have a road back in when we have to move!
I looked at a very nice 1957 ranch home. The kitchen needs updating but the rest of the house is ready to go. It has a great floor plan but only 1 bathroom... not a problem until the kids come and spend the weekend....

Baby Isabelle will be 1 month old tomorrow! Where did that month go????

I am yearning to knit but can't decide on a project. Does anyone else ever get like that???

House Hunt continues

We thought we found the perfect place but alas it also has some cons. We can not take our established phone number with us to this community and my husbands business depends on the phone. We loast some customers when we made tha last move.
We are praying an know that God will provide.

House Hunting

We have started hunting for a house. There sure are a bunch of dumps in our price range! How can people think they can sell them without cleaning???? If you have a pet, at least sweep the floor and empty the litter box!! EWWWWW
I found a couple yesterday I liked, hubby went to look at one last night with me. The basement is a problem for him. Being 6 feet tall there sure are a lot of basements he can't walk thru!

I got out some yarn the other night, started looking thru my patterns and gave up.... I guess it is too nice outside to think of warm garments. Ha

Listen to me, I sound a little grouchy!!! I need a good cup of coffee! :-) Sorry about that.

I ordered this book from KnitPicks and just love it so far. I am laughing as I read. This seems to be a must have for us round knitters...

New Granddaughter

WooHoo I have a new grand daughter as of Wed May 24th! I just got back from spending the first 8 days of her life with my little family. Isabelle Iris weighed in at a mere 6# 2.5 oz. She looks like her daddy and is a very content baby.
Big sister Ella loves her and helps her mommy. I am so blessed.

I managed to get a hat knit for her..... oh I need to knit more!

Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day weekend! My 23 yr.old son came down Sat. evening and gave me a beautiful gold Heart necklace with a garnet and small diamonds! He got it at Jared's! garnet is my birthstone. My husband took me to the best Italian restaurant for dinner and I got free dessert there. Yum Yum. I was a very nice weekend.

I finally got a baby hat knit for the baby that is due in 2 weeks... never got the booties done though. I also need to finish a quilt.... ugh it's hard to work and find time for fun stuff.

Another few and far between post

Oh I have to make a post it note to remind me to post here. hahaha

It is so unbelievable that we are out of debt after selling the house. We have not decided if we like renting and having someone else take care of things that need fixing or to buy a house. I look through the listings but so far nothing has popped out at me. I hear that is now in a buyers market so that is a good thing.

I actually bought a skein of yarn to knit a dishcloth to knit for our new apartment but have not started knitting. My sister's store is moving so I am working an awful lot as we are trying to sell everything so we don't have to pack it and move it. My fingers ache to knit.

We are finally getting winter here in Wisconsin. January was so mild and I loved it! I always thought of myself as a snow lover until I had a mild January! HA.

My daughter found out today that baby #2 is a GIRL!!!!!!! She had a regular ultrasound and a 4D.... amazing technology! She emailed us the pictures!

House closing

The house closing didn't happen.... 4 hours before it closed the buyer couldn't get his financing. What a disappointment.

I moved the last of my yarn here... yahoo.... and my fabric... I am thinking I need to downsize as the garage is so full at our rental. Yikes.

Checking In

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time..... Life has been busy, busy, busy. I am working everyday except for every other Sunday. Retail before Christmas is crazy!

We are also in the process of selling our home. We are moving the last of our stuff tomorrow and hopefully closing on it on Wed. We want it all done by the end of the year.

Knitting is almost non-existent which makes me very sad. I need some new mittens and hate to buy some knowing that I can knit a better pair. I have one done... and the cuff of the 2nd one done. Maybe once the house is sold I can relax a bit.

Christmas was very nice this year. I had it at our new apartment. My grandbaby Ella is almost 2 and was so cute opening presents. I got her a baby doll and she carried it around hugging it.... so precious.

Hopefully I will have some more time for posting more often also.

Merry Christmas and Have a Blessed New Year!
