Monkeys are Finished

They were actually finished a few days ago but I just have been busy posting over at Ravelry.

Update

I am still knitting.  I just get too busy knitting samples and testing designs that I forget to blog.  I belong to the Testing Pool on a Ravelry and accept test patterns based on yarn I have on hand and need for the pattern being tested.

I also have changed my life by becoming a Sales Consultant with Norwex.  I always disliked cleaning because of the smells and dangers associated with cleaners. I now clean with water and occasionally norwex enzyme based cleaners for those tough jobs. Cleaning is easier and healthier!

News

Wow it's been a while since I posted. I have been so busy knitting that this really was neglected.
I have been test knitting for many designers through Ravelry and sample knitting for Interlacements Yarns.
I have done some knitting for yarn money also.

This Feather and Fan was my most recent scarf. It was knit with Interlacements RickRack in Oceans colorway. It had lovely drape, texture and softness.
I am going to make myself one!

I also have been busy with a new company I joined.  doTERRA Essential Oils.
I so love the oils and have lost 21# using the Slim & Sassy weight loss plan they sell.  :)

WOW! I don't have any test knits going on at the moment so I can actually knit for myself. :) I bought the Sivia Harding pattern, Jo's Pride and am swatching the yarns I have on hand. None seem to be working. I may have to go up a needle size. The fun with swatching is all the extra knitting I get to do. ;) I knit 3 hats for the Halos of Hope charity. Interlacements yarn provided the Sweet Feet yarn. 2 of the hats were actually done while testing patterns for Kelly Menzies. So I accomplished 2 tasks with the same projects. Nice.

I almost forgot about this blog, I spend so much time on Facebook and Ravelry. I have been spending all of my knitting time knitting for designers and Interlacements Yarns. I like expanding my knitting skills by blindly following patterns. It is quite fun to learn new techniques. I also got to knit a secret project for an upcoming book. I will post when it is published and where you can procure the book!

Test Knitting

I am test knitting again!  I did some free testing for a couple of designers on Ravelry and now have found my dream designer!  She sends me fantastic yarn and the pattern to test. I send one sock back for pictures, then it comes back to me. The yarn and the items I knit are mine to keep or to sell. She has given me permission to sell the items! I am knitting with some wonderful yarn right now. Skinny Bugga.... merino, cashmere and nylon. mmmmm so wonderful.
I feel so blessed.

I am KNITTING!!!!

Finally after almost 2 years I can finally knit pain free!  I am so thankful to Jesus Christ for healing me!  I have been knitting almost everyday without pain and am tickled pink!  Joy Joy Joy!!!

I picked up an entrelac shawl I started in 2009 and have made much progress on it. I am on my last ball of Lighthouse Waves yarn from Herrschners and need to get some more.  I am debating about driving over there and spending gas money or paying shipping.  :)

Anyway I am a once again happy knitter and checking out ravelry.com again.  ;)

Spinning but not Knitting

Progress!  I can spin now without pain. I haven't tried knitting for a few months.  Something in the way I hold my needles irritates my wrist.  I am happy that I can spin though. I can get a good stash built up for when my wrist co-operates!

I spun this skein during the SuperBowl!
The color is called Orchard, purchased from A Knitting Duck

be blessed \0/

still not knitting

I am very frustrated that I can not knit yet. My wrist is not getting any better and now my right wrist is starting to fall asleep. I can't even spin now. typing is not easy either. ugh ugh ugh...

I know I am healed by His Stripes and am waiting on the Lord to bring it to fruition.

Not KNitting yet

I am still not knitting. My fingers still get numb. I believe it is healed but is taking time to strengthen and I don;t want to irritate the nerves. I have fallen behind in my entrelac lessons and will not get Christmas gifts done. I can spin a bit but even take that easy.

So what have I been doing with my free time? LOL decorating many houses in Yoville on Facebook. hahahahaha

Knitalongs

Wow, I haven't posted in a long time! Life is busy these days as I temporarily moved in with my daughter and son-in-law to babysit my grand daughters. I have not stopped knitting but find rare moments to knit uninterrupted. I bought Barbie Knits and will be doing small scale items to keep the Barbies here dressed! I am currently knitting Mr. Foster from KnitPicks.com and joined the knitalong. I am also doing the Different Ways to Entrelac knitalong by Gwen Bortner. and of course there are socks on the needles... doing 2 at a time to make them the same.... not as easy task when you might have to drop your knitting to rescue something from a 3 year old!

Someone actually offered to buy my domain name! NeedleWerks.com how cool is that.. but Show me the money! :)

Cheating company

Do not do business with Blogvertise! They offer you money to post about companies and then don't pay. They find fault with it. Bloggers for pay beware!

Fire socks

knit with Smooshy.. the pattern is called friendship sock but reminds me of flames..
I was commissioned to knit these and then the customer did not want to pay the price.  what do they expect? walmart prices???
I finished my cotton Sockina socks but they are drying so have no picture yet. the self striping yarn didn't match so I wrote the company and they sent me 2 skeins of yarn for my trouble!  Trekking XXL and some yarn with Aloe and jojoba!  yummy soft.

Drama Llamas

Our new knitting group has decided to call ourselves the Drama Llamas....coming from a derogatory remark made about us. It is too funny not to put to good use. We are thinking of getting some t-shirts made. hahahahahaha
The place we found to meet is just wonderful. Comfortable, well lit, cozy and the tea is the best ever! Our group is growing and we are knitting much.

Tomorrow I am am going to WI Sheep and Wool  and I am so excited!  My first time.  I have been saving up to buy some more roving to spin. I will be wearing my Ravelry button!

I like the weather now, cooler, which means lap knitting projects can be continued!
